about
As my debut song, I have chosen a track that I personally needed to hear the most. This song is about the truth of how God sees us compared to how we view ourselves. The song was inspired by God at a dark and difficult time in my life where God broke through the lies I heard and showed me how He sees me. I hope this encourages you no matter what you are facing.
lyrics
Verse 1
Unloveable, broken and bruised
Unbeautiful, shamed and abused
That’s what I see in the mirror staring back at me
Verse 2
Unvaluable, timid and scarred
Unforgiveable, guilty and marred
That’s what I feel
When the pain of this world seems so real
Pre-Chorus
Help me to see through Your eyes
Chorus
I am beautiful, I am redeemed
Your body broken, Your blood set me free
When You look into my eyes
You see loveable, a child God
Love unending, Grace undefined
Show me what You see in me
You see beautiful
Verse 3
Uncared for, rejected and used
Unwanted, despised and refused
That’s what I hear
When the friends around me disappear
Pre-Chorus
Help me to see through Your eyes
Chorus
I am beautiful, I am redeemed
Your body broken, Your blood set me free
When You look into my eyes
You see loveable, a child of God
Love unending, Grace undefined
Show me what You see in me
Bridge
When lies are all you hear
When your heart is full of fear
Remember that God is where you are
Last Chorus
You are beautiful, you are redeemed
His body broken, His blood set you free
When He looks into Your eyes
He sees loveable, a child of God
Love unending, Grace undefined
Let Him show you what He sees
As your looking through His eyes
You see beautiful
You see beautiful
